Cassandra’s Story

Colorado 2021-Cassandra Dawn Gonzales is the child of Teri Hacker. "Cassi" was a loving mother to two beautiful children, she was a daughter and sister. Cassi was a nurse and knew about fentanyl. Cassi's mother Teri first came to Voices For Awareness in search of answers to how her daughter could have been poisoned by fentanyl. Oftentimes, families never find out where the fentanyl that killed their loved one came from. Fentanyl poisonings are commonly overlooked and many victims' deaths are never investigated.

Roy’s story

Roy Toscano Poisoned by Fentanyl Voices met Jane Toscano at a Rally held in front of the Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. The Rally was held to bring attention to the fact that illicit fentanyl is coming from China and killing Americans. Jane shared her story with us about her grandson Roy Toscano. Jane wants others to know that illicit fentanyl is prevalent in the United States and can cause sudden death. Jane is an inspiration to others through her continued work to warn others about the dangers of illicit fentanyl.
