Colorado- Phillip Doyle was the father and best friend to his special needs son. Phillip was a son and brother. His mother Debra shares her story of how a simple medical procedure led to deadly drugs. There are many alternatives to pain management and each patient should be evaluated for care that best suits their medical condition or procedure. Overprescribing has long been an issue leading to addiction. On the flip side to that problem. new drug laws to combat overprescribing are leaving patients that suffer from acute pain without the medication they may need. There latter issue is not an area of our Voices work. We support The “NOPAIN” ACT.for alternatives to prescription pain management Phillip became addicted to prescribed pain medications given to him for a common dental procedure. Our warning is to educate yourself about prescription opioids before taking them. Ask about alternatives to pain management before it’s too late.
